7-day remand to Khaled, GK Shamim

Khaled Mahmud Bhuiyan and SM Golam Kibria Shamim, better known as GK Shamim has been granted remand for 7 days. This permission was granted to Anti-Corruption Commission or ACC.

Although they have pleaded for bail, the court has rejected it.

Khaled has ben arrested from his residence in Gulshan by Rapid Action Battalion (RAB).

RAB arrested GK Shamim as well his seven bodyguards from his office on Sept 20.

Shamim is accused of amassing Tk 2.97 billion illegally while Khaled is charged with acquiring Tk 55 million illegally.
